Glass fiber reinforced polymer rebar, or GFRP, is a ribbed bar made of glass fibers locked in a resin. It reinforces concrete the way steel does, but it does not rust, it does not conduct electricity or heat, and it weighs about a quarter as much.
In Florida, where salt air, saltwater and humid ground attack steel from every side, that matters. Corroding steel swells, cracks the concrete around it and shortens the life of a structure. GFRP takes that failure mode off the table.
Fiberglass Composite Rebar (GFRP): what we handle
- Straight GFRP bars in common sizes and lengths
- Factory-bent bars, hoops and stirrups
- GFRP dowels and accessories
- Bars for slabs, walls, footings and marine concrete
- Lightweight handling and cutting on site
- Takeoffs from the structural drawings
When it is a good fit
- Your project is on the coast, near saltwater or in wet ground
- You want reinforcement that will not rust and spall the concrete
- You want lighter bars that are easier to carry and place
- You need non-conductive reinforcement near sensitive equipment
What happens after you ask
- 1
You tell us the project
Send your plans, your city and what you are considering. It takes about a minute.
- 2
We build the takeoff
We read the drawings, gather the product approvals and give you a clear, line-by-line quote.
- 3
We schedule and deliver
Material is planned to your build sequence and delivered to the jobsite.
About fiberglass composite rebar (gfrp)
Is GFRP rebar as strong as steel?
It has high tensile strength, but it is designed differently from steel, with its own stiffness and bond characteristics. The engineer of record specifies bar size and spacing.
Can GFRP be bent on site?
No. Bends, hoops and stirrups are formed at the factory, so list them in the takeoff before ordering.
Do you ask for a deposit just to talk?
No. Talking about a project, a takeoff and a quote are part of how we work. Orders are placed under a written quote you approve.
Are you a lead generation company?
No. We are not a lead generation company, and we do not sell leads. Your request stays with our team.
